I'm Mitul, a high school senior in Switzerland, and next year I'll start an MEng in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at UCL. I got here mostly by being the kind of person who can't leave a problem alone — I'll notice something annoying or broken and end up spending a weekend trying to fix it, usually with Python, a Raspberry Pi, or whatever I can find in the garage.

A lot of that curiosity comes from golf. I play competitively at a 4.2 handicap, and the sport has quietly funded most of my project ideas — a launch monitor because I couldn't afford a real one, a two-camera coaching rig because one angle never tells the whole story. The rest comes from smaller moments: a bad back from badminton, a near-miss on a bike at dusk, a classmate too embarrassed to ask for help.

Outside of building things, I compete — golf, badminton, rowing, robotics, physics — and I'm happiest when a project has actually left my laptop and has to survive contact with the real world: weather, bad lighting, or someone other than me trying to use it.
